$100,000 Magic Money Winner!

We have a winner! Congratulations to Christine H for winning $5,000 in the Lovatts Crosswords & Puzzles $100,000 Magic Money competition.

Like the $100K Cash Splash before it, the Magic Money draw was a fantastic chance for Christine and the Lovatts Crosswords & Puzzles team to meet one of our wonderful and loyal Lovatts puzzlers in person. It was a gloriously sunny day at Terrigal Beach, perfect for celebrating, and the whole team were thrilled with the chance to join in the fun.

An avid sudoku fan, our fantastic winner Christine H always completes the puzzles but rarely enters the competitions. She was enjoying a copy of her trusty Handy Sudoku when she discovered the Magic Money competition and thought the winning phrase – HEY PRESTO – was such a clever link that she was inspired to enter. Out of 45,000 entries, the odds were in Christine’s favour this time. Hey presto, indeed!

Hailing from the lovely Gold Coast, Christine H and her partner Craig travelled to Terrigal for a celebratory morning tea with Christine and the Lovatts Crosswords & Puzzles team; though the excitement really began at 11am when the Magic Money wheel was spun. With a one in 100 chance to win the major prize, Christine was thrilled with her $5000 win, which also included a lunch with the Crossword Queen herself, Christine Lovatt! Over a delectable lunch at L’isle de France Terrigal, Christine and Christine swapped travel stories, life growing up in England, and their shared love of puzzling.
