The January issue of Lovatts BIG Crossword is supporting the RSPCA, Australias best known and most trusted animal welfare organisation and the SPCA in New Zealand. Together each year, they accept hundreds of thousands of animals from the public and investigate thousands of complaints of animal cruelty and neglect.
Both organisations actively work to promote cage-free eggs. RSPCA Australia is doing this through Choose Wisely, an initiative aiming to get hens out of battery cages.
By buying cage-free eggs at the shops, and choosing to eat at cafés and restaurants that do the same, you can make a difference to the welfare of these animals.
As non-profit organisations, the RSPCA and the SPCA depend on the support of individuals, businesses and the community to continue their vital work, so we’re donating 10 cents from every copy of January BIG sold.
Were very EGG-cited (couldnt resist that cheesy pun) about helping to prevent hens from being cooped up and we thoroughly support the move to a freer environment for all farm animals.
