BLANKET PERMIT CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry.

2. Promotion commences on Monday the 8th of January 2024. Entries close 11:59 pm AEDT Thursday, the 26th of December 2024.

3. Entry is open to Australian and New Zealand residents who purchase a participating Lovatts Crosswords & Puzzles magazine during a promotional period. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible.

4. For print magazine competitions, entry is fulfilled by posting a completed and original entry coupon from any participating Lovatts Crosswords & Puzzles magazine. Mail entries are to be sent to Lovatts, Locked Bag 4001, Terrigal NSW 2260, for Australian residents, or PO Box 83804, Johnsonville, Wellington 6440, for New Zealand residents. Participants must provide their full name, address, postcode, telephone number, email address, and the correct puzzle solution and/or crossword grid. To be valid, entries must clearly indicate the magazine name and issue number on the envelope. Multiple entries may be included in a single stamped envelope but must clearly state the competition, magazine names, and issue numbers on the front. Incomplete or illegible entries will be excluded.

5. The Subscriber Draw closes on the last day of every second month. Winners will be notified by email, phone, or mail, and their names will be published on www.lovattspuzzles.com/prize-winners/.

6. The Enigma online competition closes on the last day of every month. Winners will be notified by email, and their names will be published on www.lovattspuzzles.com/prize-winners/.

7. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that does not comply with these Conditions of Entry or tampers with the entry process.

8. Draws will take place at the Promoter’s offices at 10:00 am on the date specified for each competition. Winners will be notified by email, phone, or mail. The names of print magazine competition winners will be published in a future issue of the Lovatts Crosswords & Puzzles magazines relevant to each specific competition and will also be published on www.lovattspuzzles.com/prize-winners/. The judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. The prizes for each magazine draw include a variety of items such as cash, kitchen appliances, beauty products, home technology, homewares, electrical goods, dictionaries, books, stationery, and Lovatts merchandise such as tea towels and tote bags.

10. No individual prize will exceed a value of $1,000, and the total prize pool for this promotion will not exceed $100,000. Prizes for each draw will be awarded in descending order of value. Prize images may depict items not included in the prize pack. The Jackpot competitions are featured in the Lovatts bi-monthly Handy Range. The Monster Prize Pool competitions are available in Lovatts FindaWord®, Acrostics Puzzles, and Code Crackers. The Cashwords Jackpot competitions are featured in Christine’s Big Crossword, Cluewords, Colossus Crosswords, Crossword & Puzzle Collection, MEGA! Crosswords® and Variety Bumper Puzzles.

11. Prizes, or any unused portion thereof, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash unless otherwise stipulated. Prizes depicted in images may differ from the actual prize model received, depending on availability.

12. Cash prizes are awarded in the form of a bank cheque for Australian winners and a cash gift card for New Zealand winners. Cheques will be issued in Australian dollars, while cash gift cards will be issued in New Zealand dollars. Cheques will not be sent to New Zealand prize winners. Cheques must be banked within six months of the issue date, or they will expire per Banking Institute terms.

13. If the winner of the cash prize is under 16 years of age, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s nominated parent or guardian.

14. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought.

15. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prizes.

16. If the prize winner cannot be contacted or fails to respond, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct additional draws at the original location, seven days after the initial draw date, to allocate any unclaimed prizes. All non-winning entries will be included in the unclaimed prize draw. Winners will be notified by email, phone, or mail.

17. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, or misdirected mail.

18. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information to conduct the promotion. If the required information is not provided, the entrant will be unable to participate in the promotion. By entering the promotion, each entrant agrees that the Promoter may use their information in any media for future promotional, marketing, and publicity purposes without further reference, payment, or compensation. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments, and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. As per the relevant Privacy Legislation, requests to access, update, or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at the address provided below.

19. Entry coupons will also include the option for entrants to give their consent to provide their details for the purpose of receiving further communication from the Promoter, if so desired.

20. As per the provisions of the New Zealand Privacy Act, all personal details of New Zealand entrants will be stored at the office of the Promoter. A request to access, update, and correct any information should be directed to that office.

21. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, image, and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photographs, films, and/or recordings) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration. This is for the purpose of promoting the competition (including any outcome) and any products manufactured, distributed, and/or supplied by the Promoter.

22. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.

23. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees, and agents) disclaims all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, loss, or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special, or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion. This includes, but is not limited to, liability arising from:
(a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunctions (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access, or third-party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged, or misdirected (whether or not after receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (e) the use of any prize.

24. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information.

25. Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
