I’m very excited to introduce to you all the newest addition to our Handy magazine range – Handy Binary + Hexoku! The latest craze for lovers of sudoku, these puzzles offer a fun twist on the original format, and only require logical thinking, not maths skills, to solve. With more than 120 binary and hexoku puzzles in each issue, Handy Binary + Hexoku is a fun, entertaining way to keep your grey cells active. Sudoku puzzles gained widespread popularity in the late 1980s, and since then there have been several adaptations of the original format, including Killer Sudoku (Addoku), Lotus, Shapeshifter Sudoku, and, of course Binary, and Hexoku.

In binary puzzles, each square can only contain either 0 or 1, with no more than two adjacent squares containing the same number. Each row and column must have the same number of 0s and 1s. For example, in a 10×10 grid there will always be five 0s and five Xs. In the hexoku puzzles, you need to fit the numbers 1 to 6 into each hexagon so that where the hexagons touch, the numbers are the same and no numbers are repeated in any hexoku.

Our loyal community of puzzlers have long shared their enthusiasm for these puzzles, and we are so excited to introduce this new title. It has over 120 binary and hexoku puzzles with different levels of difficulty to tackle. Each issue also includes full instructions about how to start. Though they may sound a little tricky, these puzzles require logical thinking and process of elimination, rather than maths skills, which means everyone has it in them to conquer the challenge! With a fun twist on the original sudoku format, binary and hexoku puzzles are also highly addictive and are bound to keep you entertained for hours.
